In addition, blueberries have a beneficial effect on the digestive tract, providing a bactericidal effect, inhibiting all putrefactive processes. However, it is not only about the benefits of this duet: when we walk through the forest, we usually pick one or the other berry, two berries are mixed in our mouth, this is the taste of the summer forest, this is what the blueberry-lingonberry compote can preserve.

Ingredients:

  • Lingonberry - 0.3 - 0.4 kg
  • Blueberries - as much as lingonberries
  • Sugar - 3-4 tablespoons
  • Water - about 1.2 liters
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Cooking process:

  1. Sort out the berries, remove damaged and unripe fruits, rinse thoroughly and leave the berries in a colander so that the fruits dry well and all the water is gone;
  2. To make sugar syrup: pour 1.2 liters of water into an enamel container, stir in it the amount of sand indicated in the recipe or in accordance with your own taste, add lemon zest; stir constantly until the moment when the water starts to boil, and all the sugar is dispersed;
  3. Pour berries into the syrup, cook for 5-7 minutes;
  4. Pour the hot drink into sterilized cans, roll up;
  5. Put the jars upside down, cover with something warm, let the jars cool and check the sealing tightness.

Sweet lingonberry compote with pear

This aromatic drink will not only bring benefits (the peel of a pear contains a lot of fiber), but it will also be an excellent dessert, since this berry-fruit combination gives an amazing taste.

Ingredients:

  • Pears (ripe but not soft) - 1.5 kg
  • Lingonberry - 250-300 g
  • Granulated sugar - 0.2 kg per 1 liter of water
  • Citric acid - 4 g per 1 L of water

The ingredients specified in the recipe are enough for about two three-liter or three two-liter jars (these are more convenient to sterilize), it is better to cook the syrup with a margin.

Lingonberry compote recipe:

  1. Wash and sort out the lingonberries;
  2. Wash pears, cut out the cores and cut into wedges;
  3. Put the fruits in water with citric acid to protect them from browning;
  4. Pour water into an enamel saucepan, add sugar, dissolve the sugar;
  5. Gradually add pears, cook until the fruits are easy to pierce and slide off the clove of the fork;
  6. Remove the pears with a slotted spoon, boil lingonberries in the same water, keep on fire until the fruits become translucent, pull out with a slotted spoon;
  7. Lay pear and lingonberries in layers in jars;
  8. Bring the sugar syrup to a boil, remove the foam and gradually pour hot into sterilized jars;
  9. Cover the cans with lids - pasteurize the workpiece at a temperature of 80-85 degrees for half an hour (for three-liter cans), roll up the cans.

Note!

Lingonberry has a strong medicinal effect, therefore, for some diseases, you cannot use this berry and lingonberry preparations:

Gastritis (with high acidity), ulcer, hypotension.

Lingonberry compote and other preparations with lingonberries should be consumed on an empty stomach or before meals, and not after meals.
